Trendemon allows users to authenticate through Google, enabling Single Sign-On (SSO) for easy access into the Trendemon platform.
This guide will walk you through how to configure SAML authentication with Google.
You’ll need to be an account administrator in your Google organization to access the Admin Console and set up a SAML integration.
1. Create a SAML Application in Google Workspace:
- Go to Google Admin Console (admin.google.com)
- In the left-hand menu, select Apps > Web and mobile apps.
- Click Add App > Add Custom SAML App
2. Configure the SAML Application:
- Give your application a name, and optionally upload a logo.
- On the next step, Google will provide SAML Metadata, including:
- SSO URL (SAML Endpoint)
- Entity ID
- Certificate
Please share this information with the Trendemon's CS team.
3. Configure SAML Assertion:
- On the Service Provider Details step, you need to input the details that you got from the Trendemon CS team:
- ACS URL (Assertion Consumer Service URL): URL in format: https://login.trendemon.com/login/callback?connection={APP_NAME}
- Entity ID: SP Entity ID in format urn:auth0:trendemon-prod:{APP_NAME}
- Start URL: https://webapp.trendemon.com/
- In the Attribute Mapping step choose: email -> Primary Email
After completing the setup, assign the new SAML application to users (all users or specific group)
Important - to give users access to the Trendemon platform, you must create users inside the Trendemon Dashboard. Simply adding them to the Google app will not provide access to our Dashboard.
