This guide explains how to integrate Pardot with your TrenDemon account. The connection is done via Salesforce using a connected app.
For setting up your Pardot integration please follow the next steps:
- In your TrenDemon dashboard, select Configure > Integrations option from the top menu and click the Salesforce-Pardot Setup (cog) button.
2. Fill in the consumer key & secret of your Salesforce Pardot connected app and the Salesforce Pardot Business Unit Id. See explanations below on how to create a connected app and obtain the data.
3. Click Save and make sure you see the green checkmark.
Setup Salesforce Connected App
To set up a connected app, you will need to have Salesforce admin access to follow these steps:
- Go to the Gear Icon > Setup
- Type in “App Manager” in the settings search bar and select “App Manager”
- Select “New Connected App”
- Enter the name of your application, e.g., “TrenDemon Pardot Connect”, contact email information, and any other information appropriate for your application.
- Check the “Enable OAuth Flows” box in the API section
- Enter callback url: https://adminapi.trendemon.com/api/integrations/oauth/callback
- Under “Selected OAuth Scopes”, add the following scopes: Access Pardot services, Full access, Perform requests on your behalf at any time (refresh_token, offline_access)
- Click Save
Finding Consumer Key & Secret
Note: If you just completed the “Setup a Connected App” section, then you can just click “Continue” on the post-save screen and skip to step four.
- Go to the Gear Icon > Setup
- Type in “App Manager” in the settings search bar & select “App Manager”
- Go to your connected app and select “View”
- Record your consumer key
- Click “Click to reveal” to show and record your consumer secret
Finding Pardot Business Unit Id
- Go to the Gear Icon > Setup
- Type in “Pardot Account Setup” in the settings search bar & select “Pardot Account Setup”
- Record the business unit ID(s) for the Pardot instance you plan to integrate via the API
If you don't find the Pardot Account Setup section, please follow the next steps:
1. Enter "Business Unit" in the Quick Find box
2. Click "Business Unit Setup". Your Business Unit ID will be next to "Business Unit Name"
