How do I set up real time alerts?

Visitor Engagement Report offers real-time insights into the activities of target audiences on your website. Ensure your sales representatives seize every opportunity that arises on your website by equipping them with actionable real-time notifications, allowing them to connect during those critical moments. A notification email will be automatically generated and sent whenever target audiences are actively exploring your site, providing comprehensive details about their website engagement, including session breakdowns and pageviews.

Customize the report to cater to website visitors who closely align with your business objectives. Filtering options include specific SalesForce contacts, target lists, visitor geographical locations, traffic sources, and more.

The report showcases visitor information such as geographical location and firmographic data, along with comprehensive website journey and engagement metrics. Recipients also have the option to download a CSV version of the data and share the email with other relevant stakeholders.

Common use cases and best practices on how to utilize this report:

  • Support sales outreach motions - create target lists of all the accounts your sales reps have been reaching out to, and configure a real-time push report to notify your team whenever these target accounts are visiting the website. 
  • Engage the entire buying group - Drill down even further by setting up notifications for specific SalesForce contacts, empowering your sales reps with detailed website engagement for each specific buying group member.  
  • Close the deal for in-market - set up Trendemon goals to mark visitors who completed business goals (status changed to MQL, filled out a form, and more). Receive a real-time alert when these high-intent buyers are on your website. 

How to configure the report

  • To configure this report navigate to Configure → Reports → Create Report → Journeys → select “Visitor Engagement Report” from the dropdown options, and name your report.
  • Select the report frequency - this report also has an “on-demand” scheduling option which means you’ll receive it as a real-time email notification whenever a target visitor is on your website. Specify the recipient emails for the report.
  • You can also configure Slack notifications for this report and receive real-time alerts to specific Slack channels or users. 

 

If for some reason the Slack integration doesn't seem to work, please follow the below steps inside Slack in order to add Trendemon into the relevant channel:

1. Go to the channel you selected for the alert

 2. In the channel settings click the Integrations tab and then the Add an App button:

3. In the Add apps... page, click the Add button next to Trendemon:

 

  • Select your target visitors by filtering the report based on various attributes like firmographic info, specific SalesForce contacts, geo locations, areas visited, and more. 

  • Click on “Schedule” at the bottom of the configuration screen.
  • The email you’ll receive displays visitor info like email, geo-location, and firmographic data, in addition to full website journeys and engagement metrics. You can also download a CSV copy of the data.


  • Clicking on the link on the View Journey icon will open a visualization of the entire company journey. Here you can review aggregated engagement metrics for the company, alongside full journeys of each visitor:
