Google Ads retargeting pixel

Trendemon’s retargeting capabilities enable marketers to easily retarget any defined audience for creating audiences on Google Ads. Retargeting with TrenDemon doesn’t require any programming or adding pixels.

In this document, you will learn how to create a pixel on the Google Ads dashboard, place it in  TrenDemon, define the audience and retarget them on your Google Ads campaigns. The Google Ads account should be connected  to the Google Analytics account.

1 – Link Analytics and Google Ads
In the Google Analytics Account go to Admin Section

Under Data Collection for Advertising Features:

  1. To enable Remarketing, set Remarketing and Advertising Reporting Features to  ON.
  2. To enable only the Advertising Reporting Features, set only Advertising Reporting Features to ON.

3 – Add GA events to Remarketing Unit

It can be done in the next ways (it depends on how Google Analytics is configured on your website):

  1. Old version:

    ga('send', 'event', [eventCategory], [eventAction], [eventLabel], [eventValue], [fieldsObject]);

    Example:

    ga('send', 'event', 'remarketing', 'visit', 'Test Audience');
  2. If you use Universal Analytics (Google Analytics added via GTM):
    if ("ga" in window) {
    tracker = ga.getAll()[0];
    if (tracker) tracker.send("event", [eventCategory], [eventAction], [eventLabel]);
    }

You can add the event code before you configure any Audience and after it creates an Audience based on this Event.

4 - Create an Audience in Google Analytics

Go to the Admin Section
