Create Audiences and Segments based on 6Sense segments

The following post is relevant if you are running 6sense as well as Trendemon on your website.

Trendemon can read 6sense segments and identify visitors that are a part of these segment.
By identifying these segments, you can create an Audience or a Segment in Trendemon, based on a 6sense segment, and use it for personalization and reporting purposes.

Please note that the 6sense segments need to be in published mode inside the 6sense platform (and not only active) in order for Trendemon to track it. Follow these steps on the 6sense platform to publish your 6sense segments:

  • Click on Segments
  • Select the Segment you want to publish
  • Click on the Take Action dropdown menu
  • Click on Publish Segment

Now follow these steps in Trendemon to create an audience or a segment based on 6sense segments:

Step 1: Contact your Customer Success Manager to integrate your Trendemon account with 6sense.

Once the integration is active, you will see a green "connected" sign on the integration icon

Step 2: Navigate to Configure > Audiences & Companies

  • If you want to create a Trendemon segment, then navigate to Company Segments, and Click on "Create Segment".
  • If you want to create a Trendemon Audience, then navigate to Audiences, and click on "create Audience".

You can create a new Trendemon Segment or Audience based on 6sense segment names or 6sense segment IDs:

kb - seg 1

The timeframe (last 7/30/90 days) indicates if the visitor belonged to the 6sense segment and visited the website at this period.

The value field represents the segment name or segment ID from 6sense. By clicking on it, you'll see a dropdown list of 6sense segments that Trendemon has already identified based on website visitors since the 6sense integration was activated. If the segment you’re looking for isn’t listed, simply type the name or ID manually and press Enter.

Once you configured the audience or segment inside Trendemon, you can use it in your campaigns and also view how these companies are engaging with your website and converting to business goals.

If you're still not able to see data for 6sense segments names inside Trendemon, then please follow these 2 steps:

1. Navigate to Settings > Integrations inside your 6sense platform

6-1

Click on your API token

6-2

Scroll down and make sure you select the “Segment Id + Name” option (and not “Segment Id only” option)

6-3

2. When using this option mentioned above, you cannot select "All Active Segments." Instead, you need to publish specific segments you want to include in the API.
