How To Create A Slider Call To Action (CTA)

A slider is a type of call to action which shows a banner, message, or form to visitors as they scroll down the page. Here are a few examples:

Form type with 2 fields:

Swider type with “bottom position” of 300px. so the CTA is presented near the header of the page:

The slider CTA can be placed on the left or right of the screen. You control when visitors see it (scroll depth) and its position on the page.

Like all of our personalization units, you can configure the slider CTA to be presented to specific audiences according to source, goals reached, or status defined by your marketing automation or Salesforce software.

How To Create A Slider CTA

Step 1 – Go to Personalization tab > Calls to Action > click on “Add Call to Action”

Step 2 – In the behavior field, pick‘Slider’, and then choose if you want to use ‘Form’, ‘Image’, or ‘Swider’ type.

Form – Shows a form with up to 3 fields. Captured leads can be saved in TrenDemon and can also be sent to your CRM or marketing automation program.

Image – Shows a banner or image. The image you upload will be displayed and clickable to any URL. You can choose any size of image.

Swider – Another type of banner (see example above) which allows you to add a title, subtitle, and image.

Step 3  (only for ‘Form’ type) – Add the fields you want your visitors to fill in. In case you are using any of our supported marketing automation integration, in the ‘Name’ field, add the field name as it is in your marketing automation.

Step 4 – Choose the position and scroll depth of the CTA. Position can be on the left or right of the screen. The scroll depth defines how much the visitor needs to scroll down in order to view the CTA. Our default setting and the recommended value is 60px. The bottom position refers to where on the page the CTA will be placed. When set to 40px, the CTA is placed around the footer area. If you set it around 220px, the CTA is placed near the header.

Step 5 – Choose the color scheme for the button, texts, and other design settings. By default, the CTA will use the website’s default font.

Step 6 – Click on ‘Preview’ to see how the CTA will look. Any change you make will be reflected in the preview.

Notes:

  • Slider CTAs work with all configurations in your marketing automation program, including “by any field or list”.
  • You can A/B test 2 different slider CTAs that have the same configuration.

  • Open CSS is available to edit the look & feel of the CTA.
